Abstract

CoFe andCoFeCuself-organizedalloynanowiresweregrownintoanodicaluminumoxidetemplateby potentiostaticmodeofac-pulseelectrodepositiontechniqueandsubsequentlyannealedat580 1C. The influence ofbathcomposition,off-timebetweenpulsesandannealingtreatmentontheCucontent, microstructureandmagneticpropertiesofCoFeCunanowirearrayshavebeendiscussed.Increasingthe off-time betweenpulsesdecreasedthecoercivityandsaturationmagnetizationoftheCoFeCunanowires due tosubstitutionofCoandFewithCuatomswhichresultedinelectrolessprocess.Coercivityand squarenessoftheannealedsamplesincreasedduetoimprovementofsamplescrystallinity.Magnetic measurements showedhighperpendicularmagneticanisotropyofthenanowireswitheasyaxisparallel to nanowiresaxis.X-raydiffractionresultsindicatedthatannealedCoFeCunanowireswerepolycrystal- line withtwodistinctCoFeandCuphases.
