Abstract
ZnO nanorods (NRs) were successfully synthesized through a simple two-step method, a sol–gel spin-coating method followed by a hydrothermal process. The effect of increasing Zinc nitrate concentration on the structural, electrical properties were investigated. XRD diffraction patterns show that all of samples are in the same wurtzite hexagonal crystal structure with a preferential orientation along the c-axis. The average diameter and length of the ZnO NRs increase to different degree with increasing precursor concentration. The electrical properties of ZnO NRs samples were investigated. The electrical resistance of ZnO NRs increases slightly with increasing the zinc concentration up to 0.004 M and then decreases with increasing concentration to 0.007 M.
