Study of flower essential oil compounds of Achillea millefolium subsp. elbursensis

Abstract

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is one of the species found in the Rangeland of Iran's industrial value- judgments and belongs to the Asteraceae family Asteraceae . The car plant in plains, mountainous area along the road and go. The healing of wounds and treatment due to tannins and bitter substances and aromas can impact on the nervous system and heart . Also new review about this plant, it has proven anti-cancer properties . This plant has two subspecies in Iran include : Achillea millefolium subsp. elbursensis ( Yarrow Alborz) and Achillea millefolium subsp. millefolium ( Yarrow Hzarbrg ) which looks very similar in terms of specifications and only the height , size and color are different inflorescences . In order to sample the Alborz species flowering in early July when the habitat Dizin ( 3,350 m ) along a transect 100 m from the aerial parts of the plant were randomly collected three points . Then the plant samples were dried in the open air, the amount of 80 grams of water distillation (Clevenger) for 2 h to identify combinations of essential oils and making the chromatograph connected to a mass spectrometer (GC / MS) was used to compared to Yarrow flower essence combinations Alborzi important to indicate that the bulk composition of the essential ingredients is chamazulene
