Abstract

In this article, frequency-modulated continuous wave radar (FMCW) has been implemented to get the target range in real-time. Because of the high reliability and accuracy of the FMCW radar, it is used to determine range in various industries such as automobile, aviation, etc. FMCW radar is a technic that uses high-frequency waveform to determine the distance between an object and the radar. The system of this article is implemented by the use of the software defined radio (SDR). The SDR section consists of GNU Radio software and BladeRF hardware. Programming ability in GNU Radio software by Python programming language is used to calculate target range in real-time. As a result, it was shown that in this implementation, the target range is obtained accurately in real-time.
