Abstract

In this paper, the scattering of long-wavelength electromagnetic waves from the rotating cold magnetized plasma spheroids is studied. The electric potential and the electric field for a rotating cold magnetized plasma prolate spheroid are obtained. The resonance frequencies and the functional relation of differential scattering cross section and the radar cross section are presented. Consistency between the results obtained in this paper and the results obtained for nonrotational magnetized cold prolate spheroid is investigated. Finally, the factors affecting cross sections and the resonance frequencies, such as the frequency of the incident wave, the plasma frequency, the toroidal velocity, and the cyclotron frequencies, are analyzed.
