چکیده مقاله
In minerals processing plants, the greatest cost is spent on the milling. By using the breakage function and the selection function, it is possible to predict the behavior of the ore during grinding, and on that basis, design the milling circuits, or can select or improve parameters such as the diameter of the ball mills. The purpose of this paper is to find the parameters of the grinding of choghaei Hamedan feldspar sample, such as the breakage function and selectection function and the S1 and μ parameters in the industrial scale. In order to determine the breakage and selection function, at first, Choghaei Feldspar ore crushed in the crusher and a single sample prepared for testing. In this paper, breakage and selection functions were calculated based on Berube, Herbst and Furestina methods and the modified H & F method on a laboratory scale whith BFDS software. By performing these reviews it was found that the breakage function is also normalized. The maximum value of the selection function in this paper was 0.01315 (s-1), which is related to a single sample of 841 microns. The scaling up the selection function parameters including S1 and μ for industrial mill with a diameter of 3.02 and a length of 4.92 were 0.0121 and 12822.08.
