The Relationship between Religious Orientation and Spiritual Intelligence with Students' Resilience

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between religious orientation, spiritual intelligence and students' resilience. The statistical population consisted of all students of Kashan University in the academic year 2013-2014 and 228 students were selected by stratified sampling method. The research tools included Alport religious orientation questionnaire and Spiritual Intelligence Scale and Resilience Scale. The results showed that internal religious orientation has a significant positive relationship with spiritual intelligence and resiliency of students. Also the results of regression analysis indicated that spiritual intelligence It has the largest share in explaining the resilience of the students, and finally it can be said that those who are inward religious orientation and who do not display religion for personal gain alone and those with high spiritual intelligence have higher resilience.
