Abstract

The synthesis of imidazole derivatives has been the subject of extensive research, with various synthetic strategies developed over the years. One particularly efficient approach involves a multicomponent reaction that combines 1,2-diketones, aldehydes and their derivatives, ammonium acetate, and aromatic amines in the presence of a suitable catalyst.
