Abstract

The optimization of the design of systems containing rotating shafts, so that the
system has appropriate vibration characteristics, is one of the most important factors
involved in the performance and efficiency of the rotor system operations. Vibration of rotary
equipment is usually caused by factors such as unbalanced mis-alignment, abrasion parts,
