چکیده مقاله

This paper is concerned with the supersonic flutter analysis of cantilevered rectangular thick plates. Based on the first order shear deformation theory for modeling the plate and the supersonic Piston theory for evaluation the aerodynamic load and using Hamilton's principle, the set of governing equations and boundary conditions are derived. Governing equations are solved numerically using differential quadrature method and natural frequencies, corresponding modes, critical speeds and flutter frequencies are derived. The accuracy of the proposed solution is confirmed using results presented by other authors and effects of dimensionless thickness and aspect ratio on the flutter boundary are investigated. The most advantage of the proposed solution is being less time-consuming in comparison with other presented numerical solutions, such as finite element method.
