چکیده مقاله

In this paper, stress and vibration analyses of a rotating FGM disk are proposed. The material of the disk is considered to be graded through the radial direction from a metal surface to a ceramic one according to a power law function. The set of governing equation and boundary conditions for stress analysis are derived and solved numerically by differential quadrature method (DQM) and radial and circumferential components of the stress are derived; these components of stress affect on the dynamic behavior the disk, thus using obtained stresses, the governing equation and corresponding boundary conditions of vibration analysis of the disk are solved, again by using DQM and natural frequencies and mode shapes are derived. The effect of power law index on components of stress and natural frequencies of the disk are investigated.
