One-pot synthesis of 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-dione derivatives using modified perlite nanoparticles with ionic liquid As a new efficient catalyst under thermal condition

Multi-component reactions (MCRs) constitute a very powerful tool to synthesis diverse and complex heterocyclic compounds [1]. Amongst a large diversity of heterocyclic compounds, heterocycles containing a phthalazine group have been attracted considerable attention because they show some pharmacological and biological activities including antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities [2-5]. Here, we reported the synthesis of 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-dione derivatives via the simple, efficient, one-pot, and four-component condensation reactions of phthalimide, hydrazine monohydrate, aromatic aldehydes and malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate in the presence of modified perlite nanoparticles with ionicliquid under thermal condition (schem1). The advantages offered by this method are: high yield, low reactions time, easy workup, simple procedure and low cost high efficient catalyst. The catalyst could be recycled and reused for several times without noticeably decreasing the catalytic activity. The reaction products were characterized using 1HNMR, 13CNMR and FTIR techniques.
