Sol-gel synthesis, characterization and electrochemical corrosion behavior of SNC-doped TiO2 nano coating on copper

Abstract

The aim of this study is the synthesis of S-N-C-Doped TiO2 nano coating which would provide corrosion resistance when deposited on copper substrate. Nano-titania coatings doped simultaneously with three atoms of nitrogen, sulfur and carbon have been provided on the surface of copper by sol–gel process via dip-coating technique. The characterization and morphology of the obtained coatings checked by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).
