PEBAX®/PES BLEND MEMBRANES FOR CO2 SEPARATION

Polymer blends are capable of providing materials with extended useful properties beyond the obtainable range from single polymer equivalents. In this work, blends of polyethersulfone (PES) and poly(amide-b-ethylene oxide) (Pebax ® 1657) were prepared in different ratios by solution- casting technique. All prepared membranes were in the form of a clear and homogeneous film. Results showed that adding PES to Pebax ® increased selectivities but decreased permeabilities
