Abstract

Cancer is not just a disease, there are many types of cancer and it is one of the serious health problems of today's societies; and researchers are working hard to combat it. Drug resistance occurs in various diseases, including cancer, and multidrug authority is one of the barriers to cancer treatment. Chemotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for metastatic tumors. The most common cause of drug resistance in cancer is the high expression of ATPdependent transporters in the cell, which are responsible for removing drugs from the cell. Drugs that directly target the weaknesses of cancer cells should be used to treat cancer, and methods that deliver the drug directly to the cancer cells should be used. The ultimate goal of this new research is personal treatments for each patient according to the underlying cause of his or her illness. In this review, the reasons for cancer cells' resistance to drugs and the mechanisms that cause MDR1in cancer cells and methods for identifying new MDR-related factors using proteomics methods are discussed.
