Abstract

we study spin-valley dependent properties in the silicene. To this end, we propose a zigzag silicene nanoribbon with a temperature gradient along it, and apply transverse and perpendicular electric and exchange field for breaking spin-valley degeneracy and electron-hole symmetries to generate finite spin-valley currents without any bias voltage. We find out interesting effects can be appeared just by tuning electric field, chemical potential and temperature. Two important effects are large spin-valley seebeck effect and pure spin-valley current. This finding in spintronics is a new way to quantum computing and encoding information.
