Hydrothermal Synthesis and Luminescent Properties of CeF ۳ : Ni ۲+ Nanoparticles

CeF 3 : Ni 2+ nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by using hydrothermal method. In this project, we had used surfactant to create a coverage in order to control the size of the NPs. These NPs were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) spectra, photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. The XRD analysis showed that the as prepared NPs are well crystalized and their average particle size is in a good agreement with the SEM results. The PL spectrum has three emission peaks which are 305, 482 and 600 nm. Moreover, two peaks with an appropriate intensity (~ µC) were obtained in the TL glowcurve
