New look at a discrete normal distribution

Abstract

One of the important statistical distributions that have many applications in different sciences is the continuous normal distribution. The discrete form of this distribution can be used in reliability engineering and other fields. In this article, a form for discrete normal distribution is presented and some of its interesting properties are studied.
