چکیده مقاله

In thiswork we have reported a newstrategy basedonmulti-walled carbon nanotube incorporated carbon paste electrode (CNT/CPE) for sensitive electrochemical sensing of MoO3in the presence of 1-(2-Hydroxy-1-naphthylazo)-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid sodium salt (Calcon) as a complexing agent in solution. The voltammetric results showed that Calcon as ligand was useful for detection of Mo (VI), which it improved sensi-tivity of CNT/CPE in the detection of Mo (VI). Using differential pulse voltammetry, we obtained tree linear seg-ments of 2× 10−9 –2.2 × 10 −4 M forMo (VI) concentrations at the surface of CNT/CPE, which the accumulation time of Mo-Calcon complex at the electrode surface was 120 s in the open circuit potential. In this condition, the detection limit of Mo (VI) by signal to noiseN3 was found to be 0.62 nM. Combination of calcon and MWCNT at the surface of carbonpaste electrodewas shown capability ofmodified sensor for sensitive trace quantificationof Mo (VI) ions inUrtica dioica(Nettle) plant by average recovery of 97.64%.
