چکیده مقاله

Among the most important hadith texts left by the infallible Imams are their supplications, whose approach often revolves around fulfilling human needs. In the field of Mahdism, the Dua Ahd transmitted by Imam Sadiq (a.s.) plays a decisive role in outlining the Mahdavi lifestyle. Although many researchers have examined this supplication, previous studies have primarily focused on its description and interpretation. In this research, an attempt has been made to introduce the pattern of an expectant life by employing content analysis. Quantitative data, including the frequency of keywords, main themes, and sub-themes or focal points of the Dua Ahd, were extracted. From the 15 verses of the supplication, 12 key general titles and 50 sub-topics were identified. Through the "categorization" of orientations to derive the "categories" of the study, it was clarified that out of the 12 main themes, 30 sets (60%) pertain to the Mahdavi lifestyle, 12 sets (24%) focus on Imamology, and 8 sets (16%) address theology. Based on these findings, the theme of expectant life, due to its greater quantitative presence in the text of the prayer, can be regarded as the central theme of the Dua Ahd. This highlights the prominence of the cognitive dimension in this valuable supplication.
