چکیده مقاله

Cleome coluteoides Boiss is a valuable essential oil plant. The quantity and quality of the essential oil of C. coluteoides extracted by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) and hydro distillation (HD) was investigated. The main components extracted by HD were Hexadecanoic acid (25.11 %), 11,14,17-Eicosatrienoic acid, (10.01 %), alpha-Cadinol (8.24 %), 2-Pentadecanone, 6,10,14-trimet (8.24%), and Hexadecanoic acid ethyl ester (8.12 %). In this study, using the SFE method, nineteen constituents were identified by GC/MS. The major components were Hexadecanoic acid (28.32 %), 11,14,17-Eicosatrienoic acid, (9.87 %), alpha-Cadinol (7.98 %), 2-Pentadecanone, 6,10,14-trimet (7.98%), and Hexadecanoic acid ethyl ester (8.94 %). Based on the results the compositions of the obtained essential oils by the methods were almost the same. However, the total extraction yield of the SFE was higher than that of the hydro-distillation technique. The values obtained from the SFE and hydro-distillation methods were 0.6589 (m/m %) and 0.5530 (m/m %), respectively. This shows that SFE process can be performed more efficiently than classical methods such as hydro-distillation.
