Abstract
Today, one of the main and significant subjects in the field of Kashan urban issues is paying attention to the category of urban management. Since city managers in the form of an inclusive and efficient management institution can play a significant role in guiding the city towards sustainability, but studies show that the weakness of this category in the executive structure of Kashan has caused instability and spatial disorder. Therefore, this study intends to analyze the current situation of Kashan urban management, to empower this area with a strategic planning approach. The type of research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method. The technique used to analyze the data is the integrated SWOT-AHP model. The results show that in formulating, determining and prioritizing strategies for empowering the urban management structure, should be emphasized on defense strategies that focus on reducing vulnerability
