Explaining the strategies of Sustainability of physical-spatial structure of Kashan city

Abstract

Today, studies show that the physical-spatial structure of Kashan city follows the pattern of urban dispersion. Since the this type of pattern of urban unsustainable growth, has created many negative consequences in economic, social and environmental various areas of the city, Therefore, guiding the development of the city towards sustainability requires changing the growth pattern of the city and editing strategies for more compactness and physical form commensurate with the sustainable development of the city. Therefore, this study is based on the results of the researcher's previous article entitled "Analysis of urban physical-spatial development pattern from the perspective of sustainable development (Case study of Kashan), explain urban development strategies for sustainable physical-spatial structure of Kashan. The type of research is applied-developmental in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The technique used to analyze the data is the integrated SWOT-AHP model.The results show that in editing, determining and prioritization urban development strategies for the sustainability of the physical-spatial structure of the city, should be emphasized  defensive strategies that focus on reducing vulnerability.
