Explanation of the effective components in the realization of the smart city pattern with approach future research in Iran

Abstract

Introduction

Urbanization in Iran, like many developing countries, has grown rapidly, so in such unwanted growth, urban management has become a prisoner of many environmental, social and economic problems due to the lack of resources and time needed to respond to the growing needs of citizens. It is only possible to get rid of it within the framework of new solutions such as smart growth and future research, but due to various reasons, most of these efforts have not been successful and have been forgotten. One of the reasons for creating this problem can be the lack of a comprehensive and comprehensive research plan in the field of future analysis of smart urban growth variables and analysis of probable and desirable scenarios in Iranian cities and explanation of its components. Therefore, the current research seeks to explain concepts such as futurism, smart city, smart city challenges, and explain the components related to this issue in connection with smart city and futurism.

Methodology

In this research, according to the nature and structure of the subject, the descriptive-analytical method is used, so that first, through the review of the texts and sources and documents related to the research, a theoretical framework was developed, and then according to the objectives With an analytical approach, it explained the effective components in the realization of the smart city model with a future research approach in Iran, and some points were deduced from it.

Results and Discussion

The concept of a smart city as an alternative to traditional planning approaches by using new technologies was first proposed in the 1990s. smart city; It is a privileged place for sustainable development, where issues such as resilience, updating and optimization of city infrastructure, safety improvement and other issues are addressed through an innovative, systematic and sustainable approach, based on communication and information exchange with the aim of optimizing city management processes. , but these cities are facing obstacles and challenges due to reasons such as the inability of cities to compete, lack of financial ability and lack of budget, lack of attention to social values, worn-out infrastructure, so in order to achieve a smart and forward-looking city in Iran needs to pay attention to components such as smart government, smart housing, smart environment, smart economy, smart transportation, smart citizen, smart life, smart security, smart health and smart education.

Conclusion

According to the plan that was presented for the long-term future of Iran in (2025), achieving innovative, knowledge-based and smart cities is emphasized, and having comprehensive information, communication technology and IT is one of its basic requirements. But the current experience of the country shows that there are many challenges for having a smart and modern city, such as the lack of balanced access to telecommunications infrastructure, the lack of skills of users to use new technologies, low digital literacy, low internet speed, and weakness in content production, which is caused by The lack of foresight and not having a comprehensive plan is in the past; Therefore, by taking advantage of the experiences of leading countries and creating a local foresight network, we can hope to some extent to have a smart city in order to respond to the needs of the city and its citizens.
