Abstract
One of the long-standing dreams of mankind, from the beginning of creation until today, has been a kind of living in which man can fulfill all his desires and needs. The idea of utopia, utopia, and utopia is the society that makes the true happiness and absolute perfection of man flourish. The aim of the current research is the comparative analysis of the concept of utopia from the point of view of eastern and western city planners and philosophers. The research method is descriptive-analytical and comparative. The results of the research showed that despite the many commonalities between Islamic and Western utopias, it should be said that Western utopias mostly consider the material-terrestrial dimension, the mastery over nature and the instincts of human life, and it should be examined based on the conditions and limitations of its time. Take But the eastern utopia has always made the monotheistic-worship dimension of the society its axis and has designed its foundations on the supreme happiness and perfection of man. Also, in this research, it was found that utopias, from the point of view of contemporary city planners and architects, have a modernist and machine-oriented anti-humanist attitude, and are devoid of human meaning and wisdom, and in many cases, humans are considered to be the rulers of the world with their size and geometry.
