Abstract

Abstract The use of chemotherapy drugs or natural substances to inhibit the progress of cancer is an important and evolving topic of cancer research. There has been a lot of interest in marine natural resources, especially algae and cyanobacteria and their Phycocyanin, a protein compound isolated from marine organisms, has low toxicity and high efficiency, and it can be used as a functional food. It has been reported that phycocyanin has anticancer immune-boosting, and medicinal effects in protecting the liver and kidneys
