Abbas Ketabi received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering the Department of Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1994 and 1996, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering jointly Sharif University of Technology and the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble(Grenoble Institute of Technology), Grenoble, France, in 2001. Since then, he has been at the University of Kashan, Department of Electrical Engineering, he is currently a Full Professor. He has published more than 105 technical papers and 6 books. He is manager and editor of “Energy: Engineering and Management” journal. Dr. ketabi was the recipient the University of Kashan Award for Distinguished Teaching and research. His research interests include power system restoration, smart grids, renewable energy, optimization shape of electric machines and evolutionary computation.
