چکیده مقاله
To ventilate the broiler house, a considerable amount of fresh air is always sent into the hall, and the same amount of air is removed from the hall. This results in high heat losses. The only way to reduce these heat losses is to recycle the heat leaving the hall. Accordingly, in this study, a sample of gas-to-current gas heat recovery converter has been designed and the relevant economic analysis has been performed to evaluate its applicability. The results show that the heat loss from the ventilation of a broiler farm (with an area of thousand square meters, located in the central areas of I.R of Iran) is equal to One hundred and thirty-three thousand eight hundred and fifty (Btu/Ft2℉hr) which is about seventeen percent of the total heat loss in the poultry hall. To recover half of these heat losses, two heat exchangers with a diameter of half a meter and a length of ninety meters are needed. The return on investment for the conversion of this heat recovery converter is twenty working months (or about three years from the time of its construction), indicating that heat recovery is quite economical from the air conditioning of the poultry hall.
