چکیده مقاله
This research presents two dimensional analysis of a functionally graded beam under transverse
loading resting on Winkler-Pasternak foundation. Elasticity modulus is graded along the width of the beam
based on the power function distribution. First order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is used for description
of two dimensional deformation of the beam through length and width of the beam. Final differential equations
of the system can be obtained by using minimization of functional of the system. Functional of the system is
obtained using evaluation of strain energy and energy due to external works. As a numerical problem, a
clamped-clamped beam is investigated in this paper. One can find that this formulation has capability to
simulate various types of boundary conditions. A comprehensive investigation on the effect of non
homogenous index can be performed on the responses of the system.
