چکیده مقاله

Natural gas, with 70 to 90 percent of CH4, has impurities such as CO2 and H2S that produce acid solution in contact with H2O. This socalled sour gas that causes corrosion in pipelines and equipments, should be sweetened. Membrane technology has become an essential alternative for efficient gas separation processes. Polymeric membranes have received the most attention in this field due to the manufacturability, low material costs and robust physical characteristics. Nanocomposite or mixed matrix membranes incorporate molecular sieving filler materials into an efficient polymer matrix. The filler materials offer advanced selectivity characteristics and the polymer matrix lends the desired processability required to manufacture membranes.
