چکیده مقاله

In this study matrimid 5218 is a commercial polyimide used to improve the properties of the PVDF material. Polyimides are a family of glassy polymers synthesized via polymerization of different dianhydride and diamine monomers. Two types of membranes, namely PVDF and PVDF/ Matrimid, were prepared via the phase inversion method. The dope solution was poured onto a smooth glass plate at room temperature with a knife gap of 200µm.. Experiments have been conducted in three temperatures of 30°C, 40°C and 50°C and then permeation measurement were calculated. Results showed that the maximum permeation obtained by the feed temperature of 50°C was 4.904 (kg/m2.h). The structure of PVDF/ Matrimid membrane showed in the cross-sectional SEM analysis and the matrimid particle can be seen clearly in these figures. The thickness of the PVDF and PVDF- Matrimid membranes were obtained from SEM images as 40.32µm and 65.36µm respectively. FTIR analysis showed presecenceof C-H, C-C and C-F groups in PVDF, and C-C=O and C-N groups in matrimid membrane.
