چکیده مقاله

Natural gas purification has always been of interest to researchers and industrialists. Different methods are used to perform this action that one of them is membrane process. The purpose of this research was to fabricate nanocomposite with loading zeolite X less than 2%.wt which can separate carbon dioxide (CO2) from natural gas. The effect of zeolite X loading and pressure on gas separation properties has been investigated. Poly(ether block amid) (PEBA-1657) with high selectivity for CO2 and nano-zeolite with high absorption for CO2 were applied as matrix and filler, respectively. FTIR and XRD were used to study the structure of membranes, and BET was applied for zeolite X. In this study, the membrane with loading of 1%wt zeolite X at 10 bar showed a 33.63% increase in CO2/N2 selectivity compared to the neat membrane, which has crossed the Robeson’s line graph.
