چکیده مقاله

Carbon membranes are part of inorganic membrane family, and they take under concern in ‎recent years. To produce a defect-free supported carbon membrane, first a support was produced by ‎grinding of phenolic resin-activated carbon mixture to manufacture smooth and micro porous support. ‎Then selective layer was produced from different mixtures of Novalac phenolic resin (NPR). The ‎membrane bodies were pre-oxidized up to 180 °C and then carbonized to 700 °C. To avoid the ‎unwanted effect of thermal expansion, the support and selective layer were prepared from the same ‎precursor. Effect of pressure was investigated on produced carbon membrane and results showed that ‎pressure increment decrease permeability of CO2, CH4 and N2. Also CO2 selectivity has increased by ‎pressure increment. ‎
