چکیده مقاله

In the present study, micro-arc oxidation (MAO) was first applied under the voltage of 360V for 5 min to form a porous calcium-phosphate containing titanium oxide layer on CP-Ti. Subsequently, nano-45S5 bioglass (NBG) film was deposited on the MAO layer by electrophoretic deposition (EPD). The MAO interlayer and NBG film were characterized by XRD and SEM. Potentiodynamic polarization measurements in simulated body fluid (SBF) solution showed that the combination of MAO treatment and subsequent EPD of NBG on MAO CP-Ti could effectively increase the corrosion resistance of CP-Ti substrate. Micro-scratch test results showed higher critical distances of crack initiation and delamination, normal load before failure and critical contact pressures for NBG coating on the micro-arc oxidized calcium-phosphate containing CP-Ti substrate.
