چکیده مقاله
The data analyzed are simulated numbers of galaxies within typical cubic cells (of constant size) that tessellate the universe, which has been generated by an Astronomical Observatory Center (AOC) in Spain. An originally given data was tesselated by astronomers into cubic sub windows and the numbers of galaxies in the sub windows were counted. An interesting traditional question is finding the statistical distribution which fits these counts. Here the discrete Weibull, the negative binomial distribution and their zero-inflated versions has been fitted to these data and was found that the zero-inflated negative binomial distribution provide the best fit amongst the candidate distribution by means of Akaike information criteria (AIC).
