چکیده مقاله

The effects of chimney location and inlet burner flow of a high velocity burner on uniformity and temperature distribution in a two-dimensional furnace is studied numerically. A finite volume technique is used for solving equations. For modelling the turbulence and radiation, k-ε and DO models are used respectively. The furnace has a fixed inlet flow and four chimney locations. At first, the inlet velocity is varied for constant inlet area and then at constant heat power is considered. The height and length of the furnace are 4 m and 5 m, respectively. The results show that the best case for high velocities is the case that the output placed above the input (case4) to earn high temperature and uniformity. By increasing the inlet velocity, fluid temperature and uniformity increase, but for constant heat power, average fluid temperature decreases and uniformity increases.
