Abstract
The objective of this study is to develop a general augmented Lagrangian finite element formulation associated with an incremental adaptive procedure which established for the frictional viscoelastic contact analysis of nanoindentation on solid films. For modeling the viscoelastic constitutive equations, a general Wiechert model has been used.
