چکیده مقاله

Bimetallic nanoparticles and nanoalloys have received a lot of attention because of their unique magnetic properties [1-3]. These materials are used in a broad range of applications, including the production of magnetic fluids, stealth technology, refrigeration, optoelectronic, catalysis and biological applications. These materials have also been used as catalysts for synthesis gas conversion (CO and H2) and the targeted design of bimetallic nanocrystal catalysts [4]. In this work, Ni-Cu nanocrystallites have been prepared by transmetallation of potassium bis(oxalato)copperate(II) dihydrate and hydrazinium bis(oxalato)copperate(II) monohydrate complexes by nickel nanoparticles. In the transmetallation method, nickel nanoparticles were reacted as a reducing agent in chemical reduction of metal complexes. Bimetallic Ni-Cu nanoparticles in aqueous solution were formed due to the complex formation constant and the reduction potential of CuII complexes. These nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), EDX analysis and IR spectroscopy. Strain and crystallites size were also calculated by graphing and the results were compared to the magnetic particles size.
