Abstract

Today, with the expansion of dam construction in different regions of the world as well as Iran, water stress caused by dam construction is one of the important issues. Although the dam is one of the ways of extracting water in the basin, environmental experts have described the extreme and uncontrolled dam construction in the country as more destructive than having useful functions. Now there are more than 700 large dams in the country, he believes that the continuation of the current process of building dams in the country will lead to the loss of irreparable and valuable water resources, river estuaries and the flooding of hundreds of villages, pastures, farms, etc., even If we accept that dam building is necessary and useful, we are witnessing an unprecedented excess in the field of construction, pouring concrete and changing the course of rivers in order to build dams in the country, so that the manipulation of the river system is much more severe than the amount of water that is supposed to be according to the Ministry of Energy be managed and this management of water resources is not proportional to the volume of constructions.
