Investigation of inhibition properties of 2-(2-nitrophenyl)-benzothiazole on corrosion protection performance using statistical experimental design

The inhibition properties of 2-(2-nitrophenyl)-benzothiazole on mild steel in hydrochloric acid was examined using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and statistical experimental design. The corrosion rate of mild steel decreased with the increasing concentration of 2-(2-nitrophenyl)-benzothiazole, while inhibition efficiency of 2-(2-nitrophenyl)-benzothiazole decreased with rising in the temperature.
