چکیده مقاله

In this paper, the effect of carbon nanotubes as a cap layer on the Glass/Ni sample has been investigated experimentally. Firstly, 48 nm of Ni thin film was deposited on glass substrate using thermal evaporation. After that, spin coating method has been employed for deposit a thin film of carbon nanotube on Glass/Ni sample. The Kerr signal has been measured by a home-made Kerr magnetometer in longitudinal configuration. Four Glass/Ni samples were fabricated which two of them coated by carbon nanotube that showed enhancement in Kerr signal about 66.6% and 140% in compare with Glass/Ni samples. It can be said that carbon nanotube cap layer enhances the absorption of light in structure and enhances its interaction with magnetic layer without any changes in other magnetic properties of structure. Consequently, we obtain the amplified Kerr signal which is useful for sensing applications.
