Surface Plasmon Excitation in the Magneto-Plasmonic Crystal Ag/Py

چکیده مقاله

Magneto-plasmonic crystals are formed by putting a plasmonic layer close to a magnetic layer. In this paper, based on transfer matrix method, the optimal thicknesses of magneto-plasmonic crystal Glass/Ag/Py for enhancement of transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect (TMOKE) have been investigated theoretically. In Glass/Ag/Py structure silver and permalloy were used as plasmonic and magnetic materials respectively. The maximum transverse Kerr 11.66 was obtained at 46.2 degree of incident angle by 10 nm and 8.7 nm thick layers of silver and permalloy respectively.
