Abstract
Nowadays many of the distributed generation (DG) sources such as photovoltaic systems are connected to the grid via inverters. One of the main problems of the inverters is the injection of current harmonics to the grid. For attenuating the injected current harmonics, low pass filters such as LCL filter are used in the output of the inverters. The quality of the injected current to the grid has a significant importance. The control method for grid connected inverters with LCL filter is mainly based on the output current feedback. But there is another method that is based on the inverter current feedback. In this paper, moreover designing the LCL filter parameters the controller design for both methods are discussed. Also by using the output impedance criterion, the performance of these methods are compared with respect to voltage disturbance rejection and satisfying the power quality criteria and finally the better one is introduced. The analytical results are verified by simulation results using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
