NiO nanoparticles as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of tetrazoles

Abstract

The synthesis of 1-substituted-1H-tetrazoles was developed by using of nickel oxide nanoparticles as heterogeneous catalyst under solvent free conditions. Tetrazole derivatives were easily prepared through hterocyclization of primary amines with triethyl orthoformate and sodium azide in the presence of NiO NPs. NiO nanoparticles were synthesized by a simple method.
