Abstract

The PrMnO3 nanoparticles was obtained using sol–gel method in the presence of disaccharides as maltose, lactose and sucrose. Effects of calcination temperature, molar ratio and type of fuel as operational synthesis parameters have been investigated on the properties of the products. The perfect sample that was produced was used as a photocatalyst to break down a range of organic dyes. Additionally, composite of PrMnO3 was provided with different percentage of graphene oxide (GO). The mechanism of photocatalytic degradation was investigated by looking at the scavengers for active agents. Thus, using 0.06 g PrMnO3/GO30% nano-photocatalysts in 5 ppm Eriochrome black T (EBT), optimal efficiency (87 %) was achieved.
