Synthesis and Optical Properties of CeF ۳ :Y ۳+ Nanoparticles

چکیده مقاله

CeF 3 :Y 3+ nanocrystals were successfully synthesized with hydrothermal method. Various experimental techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), absorption spectra, and photoluminescence (PL) spectra were used to characterize the samples. The results indicated that the content of NH 4 F and reactant concentrations are key factors in the product shape and size. Excessive NH 4 F was necessary for the formation of hexagonal nanostructure. An average crystalline size of about 26 nm was obtained using Debye-scherrer formula . In addition, Y 3+ doped-CeF 3 sample shows strongly affecst on the optical properties of CeF 3 nanostructures.
