Synthesis and Surface Modification of ZnO Doped Mn Nanomaterials by PEG for Targeted Drug Delivery

چکیده مقاله

Using co-precipitation method, nanocrystallines of ZnO doped with definite concentration of manganese (0.5 %) were synthesized. Also the surface modification of ZnO:Mn nanoparticles (NPs) by polyethylene glycol (PEG) was performed. The structural and optical properties of synthesized nanoparticles were studied with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns. By study the functional groups from FTIR spectroscopy, the connection between Zn and O was confirmed. The addition intensity of peaks of PEG has changed and the new functional group was formed, which represents capped zinc oxide NPs with PEG. For determining of the size and shape of ZnO:Mn nanoparticles, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used; the results are in agreement with X-ray diffraction patterns
