چکیده مقاله

Pure SnO2 nanoparticleswithtetragonalstructureweresuccessfullysynthesizedbyusing a hydrothermalmethodandthenwereemployedasaphotoanodeindye-sensitizedsolar cells(DSSCs).ASchiffbaseligandwasappliedtoprepareuniformSnO2 nanoparticles. The morphologyandcrystallinesizeofnanoparticleshavebeencharacterizedby X-raydiffraction(XRD),scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),Fouriertransforminfrared (FT-IR)spectrum,ElectronDispersiveX-rayspectroscopy(EDX)andultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy.TheopticalbandgapoftheSnO2 nanoparticleswasestimatedto be 3.8eV.ThephotovoltaicpropertiesofSnO2 electrodes havebeeninvestigatedanditis shown thatusinguniformSnO2 nanoparticlesasanactiveelectrodeismorebeneficial than agglomeratednanoparticles.
