چکیده مقاله

The effectofthepolymericcappingagentonthemorphologyandsizeofpraseodymiumoxideprecipitatedfrompraseodymiumnitrateinthe presence ofethylenediamine(en)asprecipitatorwasinvestigated.Enwasusedasprecipitatortofabricatepraseodymiumoxidenanostructuresfor the first time.Theproductshavebeensuccessfullysynthesizedinthepresenceofpolyethyleneglycol(PEG)ascappingagentviaanimproved precipitation route.Theeffectofamountofenonthemorphologyandsizeofpraseodymiumoxidewasinvestigated.Itwasfoundthat morphology andsizeoftheproductscouldbegreatlyaffectedbythisparameter.Theas-producednanostructureswerecharacterizedbyX-ray diffraction (XRD),scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),transmissionelectronmicroscopy(TEM),ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL)spectroscopy,Fouriertransforminfrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,andenergydispersiveX-raymicroanalysis(EDX).To investigate thecatalyticpropertiesofpraseodymiumoxidenanostructures,thephotocatalyticdegradationof2-naphtholwasperformed.
