Abstract

Kinetics and trapping parameters of glow peaks 2–5 of LiF : Mg, Ti thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLD-100) were determined by using variable heating rate (VHR), isothermal decay (ID) and initial rise (IR) methods using general-order (GO) kinetics. For peaks 2–5, the order of kinetics was found to be 1.3, 1.15, 1.3 and 1.25, respectively. The mean activation energy (E) and mean frequency factor (s) for peaks 2–5 were determined for the three methods to be, respectively, 1.14 eV and 3.2×1014 s−1 for peak 2; 1.29 eV and 2.5×1015 s−1 for peak 3; 1.57 eV and 7.0×1017 s−1 for peak 4; and 1.95 eV and 1.8×1021 s−1 for peak 5. The results match well with the reported values within the discrepancies usually expected for such studies. The results are presented and discussed
